Questions
Which file should I use for QuickBooks?
The .qbo file keeps dates, amounts, payees and check numbers, and QuickBooks skips rows it has already imported. Use the CSV if your QuickBooks version does not accept .qbo files.
QuickBooks says the bank is not supported. What now?
QuickBooks Desktop only imports .qbo files from banks on its list. Statementpad writes a bank number that QuickBooks accepts. If your version still refuses it, use the QuickBooks Online CSV or import it as a Quicken (.qfx) file.
Is the QuickBooks export free?
QuickBooks, Xero, Quicken and OFX files are on Pro and the 30-day pass. Free downloads Excel and CSV, and you can preview every format first.
Why are some amounts negative?
Money in is positive and money out is negative, which is what QuickBooks and Xero expect. On a credit card, purchases are negative and payments positive.
QuickBooks, Quicken and Xero are trademarks of their owners. Statementpad is not affiliated with them. Menu names can change between versions.
